Chocó is the department in Colombia with the highest poverty rate and it has extremely limited resources to face a health crisis of this dimension. Unfortunately, the pandemic has not allowed many people in this communities to earn enough income for their daily expenses, and little by little they’re running out of resources to satisfy their basic needs.
We invite you to help us support more than 300 families in Quibdó, Colombia, with the delivery of 1500 grocery items, to afro and indigenous communities for 5 months so that they can cope with this difficult situation and be guaranteed food security for the duration of the crisis allowing them to stay home and avoid exposure to the virus, while the economy and tourism are reactivated.
On the other hand, part of your donation will go towards the purchase of an artisanal product that will help boost the main economic livelihood of the Wounaan indigenous community. Depending on the amount you donate to the cause, we will send you one of the products that Ali, Nilda, Laura, Sebastián and other artisans and craftsmen will be knitting specially for you.
